1. Who we are
hostbydims.com (the "Site") is operated by hostbydims, located at Jakarta, Indonesia. We are the personal data controller for data processed through the Site, under Indonesian Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (the "PDP Law").
The Site is a guest gallery and digital check-in guide for our short-term stays in Jakarta. It is not a booking site. Bookings and payments happen on Airbnb and are governed by Airbnb's terms and privacy policy.
2. Data we collect
a. Guest gallery (if you submit an entry):
- the name you enter;
- email address (optional);
- your message;
- the photo you upload, with its image size (width and height);
- the stay linked to the entry.
b. Digital check-in:
- guest label or name for the reservation;
- phone/WhatsApp number.
c. Technical data and cookies:
- essential platform cookies (see Cookie Policy);
- analytics and session recording, only if you consent.
We do not ask for data that is not needed for the purposes below.
3. Purposes and basis

4. Gallery: visible or hidden
We may show (Visible) or hide (Hidden) gallery entries. Visible entries can be seen by Site visitors. Please do not upload photos of other people without their permission, or personal information such as ID documents.
5. Check-in guides
Check-in guides may include information for guests, such as the address, entry instructions, Wi-Fi details, streaming accounts, check-in/check-out times, and parking. This is only for guests currently staying. Please do not share it.
6. Service providers and cross-border transfer
The Site is hosted on the Emergent platform. If you consent to analytics, usage data and session recordings are sent to Emergent/PostHog analytics infrastructure (ap.emergent.sh), which may be outside Indonesia. We only turn this on after you consent, and we seek to ensure equivalent protection as required by the PDP Law. We do not sell your personal data.
7. Retention
We keep photos, check-in data, and other guest data until you ask us to delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to data. If a personal data protection failure occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as required by the PDP Law.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is processed;
- access and obtain a copy of your data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- request deletion, including removing a gallery entry;
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect earlier processing);
- object to or request restriction of processing, where applicable.
